Howdy Folks --

It's just 3 short days before we get rid of Keating and have some real leadership for a change.  The skies will begin to clear about noon on Monday when Brad Henry is sworn in.

Meanwhile, it appears that rotten apples don't fall too far from Trent Lott's bigot tree.  Rep. Wayne Pettigrew (R) , of course, introduced a bill to put the confederate flag back over the capital.  You know, I couldn't pay them to do this stuff.

Meanwhile back on the home front, it's time to lock and reload.  Rumor has it that Gov. Henry will ask Ben Odom to assist him improve the communications between the Governor's Office and the ODP.  Ben has indicated that he will serve if asked.  Better communications, better party.  You know, I really like these guys.

since 1960 and I have never encountered a harder working more effective

chairman than Jay Parmely––and the same goes for  his staff. 

House members tell me that Jay deserves the credit for stopping the predicted 

GOP takeover of the House. His incredible energy, recruitment and fund

raising is known across the state, especially at the grassroots level.

Yet the party owes between $50,000 and $100,000 and is making back-breaking

utility bill payments of the beautiful but spacious Krumme Center.  

I have told Jay the Troys will dig as deep as our pocket goes to help with the
debt.  Will you help ask my fellow Democrats do likewise?  Please help--and be
generous.  Without Jay and the  staff, things look bleak for '04.
