"It is astonishing that Mary Fallin’s response to the fact that she missed over 315 of 600 meetings of the boards and commissions she is supposed to attend by saying that I am lying. If I said the sky was blue, Mary would call me a liar," Boyd said.

"Fallin has repeatedly misled the public about her record of service. Fallin claims she is the savior of the state worker’s comp program, but the "Fallin Commission" has not met in almost 4 years. Even more outrageous Fallin has only attended one board meeting of CompSource – the entity that manages Oklahoma’s worker’s compensation insurance fund – in the past 3 years! If this is how much time Fallin spends worrying about issues that are her top priorities, then how much time is she spending on issues she cares less about – like education and improving the quality of life for seniors," said Boyd.

Boyd was responding to reports on the Oklahoma News Network and other media outlets where Mary Fallin accused Boyd of lying about Fallin’s attendance records. Public record from 10 of the 13 (formerly 14) boards and commissions that the Lt. Governor serves on show that Fallin only attended 48% of the meetings that she is supposed to attend.

"There is no excuse for inaction.  My message to Mary Fallin is lead or get out of the way," said Boyd. "I readily admit that the job requirements to be a Lt. Governor are tough, but it's no excuse for being lazy.  If she's not up to the task, just say so and I'll relieve her of her duties."

Boyd concluded saying, "Oklahoma deserves better than a part-time Lt. Governor, who thinks sending a representative is the same as being in attendance and actively involved. Fallin has been in office so long that she doesn’t understand how the rest of us make ends meet. I can tell you it is not by showing up only 48% of the time. Now Fallin is lying to her boss – the people of Oklahoma – about why she was a no-show."
